The special effects are really poor, let us hope these will be changed in post-production, cos now it looks like an old Power-ranger movie. From what I see now, this looks like no Dragonball, not like the cartoon I’ve been watching all these years.
But, sadly, you seem to be satisfied with it. What a pity that most of you can be so easily satisfied . If only Americans where more demanding… No offence intended, but that’s the truth.

ok, they do fight themselves. you see chichi fight someone who is shorter but wearign the same oufit and same hair and its the same fighting.
the hole in the wall is probably from a ki blast, i jumped the gun on that one.
im not too sure i like that they are in the desert, gives it an indiana jones look. but it might work out. and i paused the vid on piccolo and the bone structure for the face could have been more angled down. and the cheeks not so caved in but not much could be helped there but the color is ok and he WILL turn greener later on. but other than that it looks great. they could have added a fullem assassin or two.
and also it looks like goku is fighting civilians. if you watch more carefully and pause throughout it you can see that there is a guy (black to be more accurate) that has what looks to be his powerpole and is rearing back to swing at him and also i think he is fighting some balled guy with really colorful clothing. my friend thought maybe he was krillen but i thought krillin was replaced by someone else for gokus best friend. and there seems to be swordplay in it…not to excited about that. Lets hope for the best! Still a must see in my book.
and if anyone gripes about me nitpicking at all this its ok, its going to happen sooner or later im just getting my opinions out there.

Still isn’t too much to work from, but it looks good. Piccolo looks way more badass with the hood.

ok when roshi does a ki blast there was no color but you see air movements. Akira stated once in shonen jump that the ki blasts were actually not noticable but he gave them color so the veiwers werent confused. so im guessing they decided to go with what it was really supposed to look like to give it a more Live Action feel. but now im kinda bummed because how are they going to make the kamehameha look?
and roshi says “if the prophesy is true then we dont have much time” or something like that, im sure he is talking about the dragonballs. and what the hell is on Mais back?! did anyone see that!?
i think piccolo takes over the civilians minds and goku has to fight them. that will be somehting new!

Well not bad trailer, some of the scenes are to fast on screen you miss what they show unless you pause it. I’d have to say some of the special fire effects could look better but like always we’ll see it all when the movie comes out, maybe they’ll improve it. But not bad should get a lot of interest in fans and non fans alike cuz they show some neat looking moves and stuff, i think it will do fine at the box office.

Pulsar, you have to remember this is a teaser that was made like 5 months ago, post production was only beginning.
Also they did a lot showing this much in just a teaser trailer. Normally teaser trailers dont show much.

there needs to be the Peter Jackson-esque version of LOTR for DBZ. I’m not sure Chatwin can pull off Goku - I mean really has anyone seen the lice-action version of Goku smile at anytime yet - it seems like fox is hell bent on making Goku the depressed teenager…doubtful there will be a sequel - we’ll have to wait another 10 years for them to this franchise justice

@banto, well the original release date was In August of ‘08, but moved it so SFX could be completed, and so it didn’t have to compete with a few other movies.

if you pause it during second 55 you can see the ki blast take place hitting piccolo and did anyone notice that they named off everyone except Chi Chi. they got goku, bulma, yamcha, mai roshi and piccolo. but never did they say chi chi.

it is kinda odd that the other chi chi is shorter, wonder if the rest of the dopple gangers or w/e are shorter as well.

Yeah, if you pause at .40 you can see the ChiChi v ChiChi. One might just be hunched more than the other, not necessarily shorter.
