Loading ...Dragonball Re-shoots?
Looks like Dragonball, like most movies, will be having some re-shoots done in the next few weeks. This is very common in film making. Sometimes a scene just doesn’t come out the way everybody planned, and some times the film makers feel new scenes need to be added.
Well, according to the Actors Status, DB will start filming again in the next two weeks.
A few have also noted that they seem to be looking for people fluent in Nepalese or Tibetan, so perhaps this is for additional background voice work?

Also, I read somewhere that Chow-Yun Fat is going back to the U.S again to do something for Dragonball. So they are possibly re-shooting some scenes OR adding new scenes!

This is definitely awesome news, and for that person who said they watched the Dragonball movie already that is clearly false since they yet to have a real trailer, and clearly this movie is not peiced together just yet and I really really hope these scenes add necessary things and bring this movie to what a blockbuster length SHOULD be like 2 hour movie anything less feels to short!

Wasnt the original release date like two months ago? What were they thinking with that date. How can such a large company be so off? Now they arent even done. This is good, hopefully they will be changing some of those “High School” scenes that were done during the Writer’s strike. Remember what that guy ‘Wasinthemovie’ said about how one of the “Bullys” runs over Goku’s bike and Chatwins replies really high pitched, “Hey my Bike”

I don’t think they’re adding new scenes. Maybe they’re just adding background voices or something similar. Now it’s gonna happen again, fans will expect the unexpected, and when the movie comes out, they will complain. I’m pretty sure the movie is great now, but maybe they’re just adding afew adjustments to it before the release date.

There aren’t going to be more scenes people. It’s RE-SHOOTS .. keyword “RE” here. It’s common practice to reshoot scenes for dialogue… i.e. a scene like “I’m not ready” changed to something else.
It’s no doubt in my mind Fox leaked the trailer to gauge a reaction, the reaction was negative so they’re postponing the “official” trailer until December… all the while knowing they’d have to do some re-shoots because of the huge negative reaction they received.
Don’t be naive. They’re not going to spend time+money adding in Krillin or something like that. Reshoots aren’t going to save the movie, only make some stuff better.
I am however, pleased they’re doing this.

The idea that the trailer was leaked on purpose is stupid.
The original copy was leaked from that cell phone shot. Then we got the high def version.
All it takes is for someone to copy it and leak it.
Check out pirated versions of films before they are released. All it takes is for one of the many hands that touch it to copy it and send it out. Why would they “leak” it when they can just officially release it to judge reaction?
That’s what pre screenings are for. Go check the dark knight trailer. Also… Fox is not getting shaping the movie based on how people on internet blogs react…
And yeah… that all to say… that’s not why they’re doing reshoots…
all the scenes are filmed seperately, many in different locations. The film needs to mesh after it’s completed, since the film is not filmed in the same way it is viewed, it will often need changes through reshoots…
One example is Harvey Dent’s line about the night being darkest before the dawn etc… Check the clip in the trailer vs the actual clip in the movie. Obviously a different take.
I always use about ten times more words than I intend to….

They fucked this movie up so bad! I’m not gonna wast my money watching this damn movie! It’s a download or stream. I only wast my money on good movies. I really was hopping that this movie would turn out good with the budget and all, but the trailer just showed me that this movie is going to flop big time! They should of made this movie kind of like Star Wars in term of the city, flying cars, talking animal, and the whole imagination of Dragonball. It would of been bad ass if they would of taken this movie that direction, but no they have to go and make this movie look like a sorry kung fu movie! Heh, I like the “I’m not ready for this” in the teaser.
This could be a good thing or a bad thing. I must admit, I didn’t hate the teaser. There were aspects that seemed bad, but in general I thought it looked pretty good. People take very unflattering imagery of the teaser at the wrong times. It’s incredibly easy to make actors look ridiculous in the middle of expressions. And people in general have been unjustifiably harsh on this movie.
In saying all this though, I do hope they improve Piccolo. Live action movies always tone done the cartoony aspects of a particular subject. But they could simply make him slightly greener, slightly longer ears. Such small things that would add together to a better whole.
I mean they have Stephen Chow involved which gets my hopes up. I could see Dragonball influences in Shaolin Soccer and the special effects were great. I enjoyed Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle.
Also, they were tremendously hilarious, so I look forward to funny Goku moments, possibly when eating food.

I wonder what kind of scenes they’ll be filming. That’d be extremely cool if they were to include a Krillin cameo (the moment he appears on screen, all diehard fans would applaud).
To the people who complain about the line “I’m not ready for this.”: Goku has said things SIMILAR to that in the manga/anime. When he was fighting Vegeta (oozaru), he felt that he might not be able to beat him and he was talking to his Grandpa Gohan. And if I’m correct, he also said something like that in the Frieza Saga.

I hope you guys are joking by thinking the movie will be any longer.
First of all, there has been nothing said about re writes. Just re shoots. This means there is no new material. To use to make it that long.
Second, the release date has not been changed yet. If they were really adding that much to it, the release date would also be changed.
Third, re shoots happen all the time for other movies. All that they get in reshoots is a fresh take of an old scene. Maybe they want a different emotion used, maybe they are correcting a plot contradiction. Whatever they are doing, it rarely adds any time. For example, lets say you reshoot an entire 5 minute scene and it ends up being 6 minutes (a significant change) That means you 1- subtract 5 minutes from the original run time. 2-add the new six minute scene.
That’s a one minute difference. The idea that they would come up with 110 minutes (20 minute addition) or 140 minutes (50 minute addition) is ridiculous.

First of all they are asking for new extra’s why not get the people who did the first filming? They are asking for a specific type of people or person for some scenes, wouldn’t that mean they are doing something different this time?..Now I’m not saying that they are not doing any scenes over cause they are but I believe they are adding scenes as well. I think it will be 105-110 min now if the movie was surpose to be 90 min long that is.

Recalling extras would be a waste of time and extremely inefficient for Fox. I have family that have participated as extras before, and it’s way simpler and cost effective to just cast new extras.
Think about it, calling and or mailing all the previous extras and expecting them to take time off work, school, etc and probably travel as well just to re shoot a scene?
Just doesn’t make sense.
They are only asking for one specific type of person. It’s a language requirement. 15-20 minutes is a lot of extra filming. they are really going to get that much because they get someone who can speak Tibetan?
I’m not saying there absolutely will not be any new material. But enough to increase the movie length by that much? No way.
