transformers meets harry potter huh? i really would love to see mega-tron and star-scream own the sht outta harry potter. hehe there would be blood all over the place. If that were the case i think they would have to have a more serious t-2 like sound track. hence; i conclude he means, this movies sound track will be epic much like the sound track to terminator 2! Perfect!

beause of no cell/buu saga movies they’ve combined plots and characters to cover teen gohans life.
Goku/Teen Gohan goes to school but still a country boy at heart, forced to hide his powers.
Chichi/Videl ie the popular girl in school thats a great fighter.

Actually yeah it always seemed pretty obvious that they changed some elements of the beginning of dragonball and replaced them with elements that are found later in the series. I’m pretty sure that’s the whole logic behind Goku going to high school, anyway.
And it’s not a bad idea. The beginning of Dragonball is way too long to cover in just one movie. They wouldve had to make way too many movies to cover everything… even more than harry potter!!!

Hmmm… When he says whimsy, does he mean that it will be like cartoon network’s soundtrack? you know the one they used to replace the original japanese music? When he says whimsy almost rightnext to magical, it makes me think of the cartoon network soundtrack of the dragonball z series. I would have preffered if he based it on the original soundtrack.

i may rant about this but maybe not but i have somethig to say about this one… well 2 things. what shawna said does make alot of sense. kinda sounds like that but where would bulma and yamcha come in? not knockin what you said…. i think its a good theory. and sabat and shenron!!! you have to have sabat as shenron!! i mean i understand not having the rest of the cast in it…. unless we somehow see a puar or something, but sabat was shenron and it wouldnt be shenron without sabats deep ass awesome power voice! actually now that i think about it…… they should have just painted sabat green and made him do the role of piccolo. the spike guys gonna do good but wont be as good as the anime cast.
And the music should go with the animes music if they want this to be any good….. i dont think we will all like this if we didnt hear something familiar. ok didnt mean to type so much.

Uh oh. Hmm. I’m going on his emotive responses, which is something I’m subjectively interpreting, of course, but…he seems to veer away from DB pretty fast, and sounds almost…embarrassed?
I dunno. My take. He didn’t have the love in his voice he had when talking about Bangkok Dangerous, though. And he said he was a big fan of DB…I’m worried that his own expectations for the movie were far from met, because you’d think he’d be much more enthusiastic if they had been.
Meepers. Sorry, I shouldn’t be writing this, casting doubt on stuff. It could be great. I’m just thinking it’ll be very, very different than the original.
But I think we all figured that out a while back…:P

Heck! I really hope that they really take the original japanese music as a reference, I’m pretty sure a good musican can translate those catchy rhythms into something more fresher … please!

now that i think about it…. i dont think they will use any of the original music in the movie. if they did they would more than likely use the new shit. i think “sadness and sorrow” from naruto would make a good score with the whole death of gohan but that would never happen. meh oh well im still going to go see the movie. awww 8 more months!!! i know we arent going to see anything in the trailer. just for that fact. its prob going to be a real cock tease! they will show the word dragonball and thats it prob. i just hope fox grows a freakin heart and doesnt make us wait for 8 damned months.
