The latest issue of V-Jump has a preview of the new characters featured in the upcoming Dragonball special written by Akira Toriyama.
Daizex has a translation:
Table and Avo & Cado, opposing enemies!
You can tell that Table is a Saiyan from his tail. He’s similar to a certain person in facial features, but who…!? Also, Avo and Kado, in pursuit of Table, arrive on Earth!!
Amazon has a listing for a new book based on the Dragonball movie. This time it’s a sticker book!
The sticker book introduces the characters from the Dragonball movie and all of their cool gadgets, offering an extremely simplified version of the Dragonball adventure. 8 pages of color stickers and 8 pages of color backgrounds!
Collect all seven Dragon Balls and you can wish for whatever you want!

Yes The special will be sweet. Hopefully it will have all the DBZ action we expect. I still can’t get past the fact that they have Goku thinking he is a normal teenager and finding out he is a martial arts whiz… That has got to be the dumbest writing error in the history of writing. Maybe since my hopes for the moving are dropping so much, I might be pleasantly surprised when I actually see it and find out “it’s not so bad”… I hope!

LOL Since when is Table a vegetable? I understand, it makes the word Vegetable, but arent the saiyans all named after veggies? What a cute little saiyan he is too!
Avo and Kado… seems like theyd be the saiyans cause of the name. Haha oh well, its hysterical either way!
A sticker book? Neat! If its going on sale on amazon for preorder, the movie must be on its way.

Well, Vegeta is not a vegetable either. He’s named after the first half of Vegetable. And now Table is the last half.
There is obviously a relation between the two. Brothers maybe?

Uh, if that’s what the characters look like in the show i’m going to be totaly dissapointed. it looks like a cheap modern simplified version of DBZ….Why not make the art style exactly the same as it was in DBZ? or even better. In DBZ it was beautiful…but judging by those 3 characters for the new Special, it’s anything but.:?

maybe cause they are so simple they are so powerful… the final form of frieza seemed so simple to me… as did Buu sometimes…
Very good point JP.. But still, i find it strange… He looks a lot younger then Vegeta as well. Kinda teenager-ish.
Itd be great if we learned more about Vegetas family. That would make my year.

@ Randy- I highly doubt anyone will be able to pirate the entire feature with decent quality. This special isn’t being released in Normal Theatres. But rather is a special event to celebrate Weekly Shonen Jump’s 40th Anniversary, so I think there will be a lot of officials in for the screenings. Never the less, FUNimation has exhibited interest in this special.

Table is either a nephew, son, or brother…but Vegeta’s father was killed when Vegeta was a kid. However that was in the anime filler so Toriyama can change that.

Stop judging so fast guys. Have you SEEN the promotion they had for The Dark Night? It was ridiculous! I could fill my whole room with kids products based off that movie. But did that stop it from becoming one of the best sellers of all time?? No.
