Thanks to Avenged at Dragonball Legends for the heads up. According to Barnes & Noble the Dragonball Junior Novelization will be in stores February of 2009. So, if you consider yourself a junior who doesn’t mind being spoiled 2-3 months before the film hits theaters, be sure to pick this up!
Barnes & Noble says that the book is Published by VIZ Media and consists of 152 pages. The novelization is adapted by Stacia Deutsch and Rhody Cohon from a script by Ben Ramsey and James Wong.
Amazon features it’s price ($5.99) as well as a brief description.

Like English-Lessons, we had Deutsch-Unterricht here at Schools.
Well, anyways, I’m mainly not that interested in the Story, but more in the presentation of the fights, which makes out the Main-parts in any Dragonball-Related Manga/Anime/Movie, so I wouldn’t mind this stuff that big.
And I wonder how Roshi is being played.
Still, when i think about that “The Magic begins”-Roshi, i still giggle about how well that Actor portrayed that Character, while anyone else was weak in their respective roles.

As for the page number, it’s a JUNIOR novel. It’s meant for JUNIORS! Kids. I’ll still go to Borders and read it anyways. I love living down the street from Borders.

lol…I hate to say it, but this is sounding way too much like a mix between Spiderman and Transformers. He’s suddenly powerful- or, in this case, suddenly discovers he’s powerful, somehow…um. (Aka, he gets bitten by a radio active spider.)
And then there’s the preppy, popular girlfriend he ends up with. (ala Transformers)
What the hey…Chi Chi was raised in the country by the Ox King, just as Goku, early on at least, was raised in the country by Son Gohan.
Guess they don’t fit closely enough to your average teenager…phooey. Who wants average, anyway?
Sorry, it could still conceivably be a good movie. I just don’t see the need for such a drastic change to Goku’s back story. He breathed fighting growing up, after all.

The only thing is… They don’t say Goku finds out he’s powerful. They say he’s good at martial arts. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t fight when he’s younger. You could say that in the Anime/Manga he wasn’t “involved in martial arts” until Roshi started training him.
