Anyone thinks dragonball will beat the dark knight in the box office via opening weekend are complete morons. Also nnyone thinks that piccolo looks great is really stupid.

The Dark Knight broke all box office records for opening week ticket sales for two reasons.
1- The hype has been going on for a couple years (check the viral campaigns)
2-Batman Begins was amazing.
Dragonball just can’t do that with the first film. That in no way means it won’t be a good idea, but comparing it to batman is just bogus.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m fine with it not being the best movie ever made. I just want an enjoyable Dragonball movie.

Dragonball does have that potential, but the the problem is people like us are the only ones that know it.
This first movie needs to pave the way. Right now, this movie is marketed towards us (stuff released online, and slowly) because otherwise normal people (that don’t look up the movie online) will be scared away by marketing (yes, scared away) What’s better, is to not allow anyone to get much of a taste in their mouth before it comes out so that it has a fighting chance.
Then after it’s successful, they can market number two as much as they want without people saying “Oh, Dragonball” and roll their eyes.

And i gotta agree with you back there 5aucy, we’re living the dream that FOX decided to put 100million into a dragonball movie so we should just sit back and enjoy the miracle. I have no doubt if they didnt make a trilogy out of DBZ they would in the future anyway, the franchise is just so huge.

Look at these posters. These are from Fox too and they are so much better and are very well done compared to our beloved Dragonball. I hope we get something cool like those. Max Payne posters look exactly like video game. The Day the earth stood still looks epic.

Comments got closed on most recent post cuz Barashin was an a-hole, and he cusses a lot. JP should block him. I don’t mind seeing possible fakes, especially if I’m warned they might be. As long as this blog keeps me up to date on all the happenings with this movie, I’m cool. Fake stuff that people claim is related to the movie, is still related to the movie.
