Loading ...Dragonball at Comic-Con?
The Hollywood News seems to think that Fox will be promoting Dragonball at this years San Diego Comic-Con.
I’ve got to admit, I know nothing about this movie, except the fact that Fox are taking it to Comic Con later this week, so expect some more promo stuff to pop up online later.
20th Century Fox will be at the Con with a panel featuring Max Payne and The Day The Earth Stood Still. Perhaps they’ll be promoting Dragonball as well. If you’re going to be there don’t hesitate to let us know if you see anything!
San Diego Comic-Con is July 24-27.

Fox got two of my favorites franchises Dragonball and Max Payne.
They better show some good stuff there and not all the same pics we’ve already seen.

Hopefully if there is something there G4TV (who will have coverage aired on thursday and Friday) will point a camera at it for a few moments.

Haha… well what’s worst, is that it will probably just be a teaser trailer where theres like… some hardcore music, some swirling smoke, the camera will do a pan around each of the 7 dragonballs and there will be some captions on the screen like “When Legend meets myth, there is only one way to save the world from total destruction. That way lies in the hands of a boy…” ::white flash:: DRAGONBALL (April 2009)
Or one of those one size fits all teasers…
That would be more irritating than nothing

Chibi_Vegeta Sorry it took me so long lol I live in hillsboro it not bad here most of the time there is nothing to do thats why i have seen almost every movie that has come out this summer.

Are Fing kidding your a dumb*** it wasn’t in space chimps {(which i want to see) whatcha gona do about it} and it has been said by serveral people that the prefured rating would be around R and PG-13 and seeing as this is fox it most likely going to be PG-13 so shut up. kiddy movie my ***

Well…as much of a fan I may be of the dragonball series. it simply isn’t possible to make a movie as good as a DK. The characters just aren’t as interesting or deep.

but TDK is a masterpiece, and a very dark movie
i doubt they´ll make dragonball as dark as it could be seeing its the first one, just like batman begins wasn´t as dark nor as good. but the sequels for dragonball could kick TDK´s ass badly

tdk with the joker as the villian is the best you can expect from a batman movie,, this is an introduction to dragonball, the best will come with vegeta or freeza as the villain, those should at least be at the level of tdk
if you want to compare this to batman, compare it with batman begins, not with tdk

It would be incredibly stupid of Fox not to show something at Comic-con. Considering movies that come out later than DragonBall (Terminator Salvation anyone? Movie is still filming yet they already have their teaser) already have trailers. It’s time to bring up the almost nonexistant advertising in North America.
Hope I get some Transformers 2 footage, doubt I will though since I believe Paramount won’t be at Comic-Con, though I believe Hasbro will.

I have to disagree I think there are db characters jsut as deep if not deeper than batman characters……..Vegeta.
There is no reason why this movie cant be awesome.

piccolo himself is deeper. he is the incarnation of evil, who wants to dominate the world, then allies with his main rival, even trains his main rival´s son, and ends up sacrificing himself to save him, turning to good after being so evil…
that doesn´t sound deep enough for you?

Yes, Vegeta is insanely obsessive but the character doesn’t get much deeper than that. I’d agree Piccolo is BY FAR the most complex character in the DB universe (my opinion of course). if the characters do have some other sort of deeper message I’m not getting they were lost in translation. I really dig DB and Z for its charm and imagery not for any sort of complexity in its characters. You can’t really compare the two franchises.

Oh this movie can be awesome, but not for the same reason TDK is at the moment, it’s pretty much impossible unless someone passes away after giving the performance of their lives.

If this is true then Fox made a very good choice to promote DragonBall at Comic Con, I mean it did wonders for Iron Man.

hey i am working security at comic con.
i was there today er should i say yesterday(tuesday) night. i got to see them putting up the booths and stuff. the fox and funimation booths were right next to each other i dont know if that means anything but we’ll see lol oh and they didnt have anything in them yet cause they havent set up everything. tonight is preview night. i will be working during that also. i will tell you guys if i see anything
