ITA with JP on Bulmas hair. I really like the movie style but I do belive that her blue hair could have been done successfully.

So, I’ve come to the conclusion that I may have been drunk when we recorded the main part of the Podcast.
And, in regards to Star’s Rant… Don’t be fooled, I may have been eating then. But it’s Star and JP who eat EVERY time we talk. They just have clever ways of hiding it. And I believe it may have been trail mix I was eating. Either way, that was actually a candid, casual conversation. I’m much more professional when I’m aware that we’re recording… Thanks a lot, JP.

Good podcast everyone!….Me personally I think Bulma should have at least more blue streks in her hair to give it a more blue over tone!…That would be better then her whole hair being blue. And would look better on screen. What do you think JP?

Thanks! IMO, I absolutely love Emmy’s hair. However, I think it is totally possible to have come up with an entirely blue style that wouldn’t look silly. You just need the right people making the wigs and the right person to shoot it well.

I agree with JP, and they could have still givin Goku bangs (Something to give thought for a sequal, if anyone from Fox reads this stuff, which would be wierd), But at least Emmy has more blue than the chick who played “Seeto” (Bulma) in “The Magic Begins”, which was a shit movie.

I actually check in every day just to see if i’m getting positive reviews. This movie is going to be what you guys want and more. I have tried m hardest in this movie. and i agree WAY too many people are complaing about the little things about this movie!!i myself am a HUGE dragonball fan and i am liking the origianl things and changes to the movie.i cant wait to see a kamehameha wave.and JP i agree with u during the whole bulmas hair debate.or maybe they did try it during the first days of filming and thought “hey this looks to goofy” or something…or the make up artists could be lazy like u said.

You guys KEEP saying, “it wouldn’t work if they did it bla bla” but that’s so dumb to say. Yes IT CAN WORK. i don’t complain about this movie and i accept the changes but for you guys to say, “it wouldn’t work if they translated it like the manga” that is dumb. Yes they can make it work. exactly what the guy said, “it would look ridiculous if the filmakers were lazy, but they CAN do it.” same with Goku’s hair and Roshi.
And I like the blue Gi, it’s not exactly like the one from the comic but at least it’s SIMILAR and it’s awesome i love that, but Goku’s hair… it’s like they didn’t even try. and even more so with Roshi. Not even trying there.

I’m pretty sure that’s his muscles…he’s not even that big so…
I can understand by the next sequel and he’s pretty huge which he’s supposed to be, and people thinking it’s not really him, but I’m pretty sure he’s that big. I mean if your told that you’re going to be Goku in a big budget movie, and you have a little knowlege of who Goku is, your’re gonna hit the gym and try to get as big as you can to fit that role.

Having blue hair really ain’t natural you know, if bulma were to have bue hair, than lets just hope her dad won’t be in this; but honestly I could care less. I have no idea what there concept was behind Goku’s or the other characters design and honestly, I could care less. People that are complaining about there looks, can complain all they want. There acting and how much they did there character justice is what Im really interested in…
…and tell me. Why in the hell wouldn’t that be Justin’s actual muscles? Thats just stupid! The actors actually work out for the roles you know, Toby said it himself when he got the role for the first Spiderman movie, even Marsters said it himself.

Have you seen all the photos of Justin in Durango? His arms look nothing like they look in this new photo.
Chatwin was cast 2-3 months before filming began. he had training with 87eleven for all his stunts and what not, but I doubt he received physical training to work on his body. And if he did, I don’t think 3 months would be enough time to look like his arms look in the new photos.

Look at Christian Bales(I think that’s his name) he went from super skinny skeleton man, to literally a human hulk for the batman role.
Justin didn’t really get extremely big, just a little cut. I’m pretty sure he could balance out some weight training and martial arts training with the crew to get in shape.
Plus he may just have his arm pressed against his body to make his tricep look bigger…

Umm… I think Toby actually bulked up for Spider Man, I watched a behind the scene of that…
Also, I think Bulma’s hair would look stupid all blue as well.. the way they did it is subtle, with a homage to the original, but not tacky… which is ideal. I mean, look at Rogue’s hair in X-men.. they didn’t go and give her super poofy 90s hair like we all remember, did they?
Another thing about the hair, since it’s a MANGA adotation, it’s safe to say that the hair colors don’t matter. Manga all the time have different color hair than the anime counterpart. This is just a similar situation, only it’s live action. mhm

I believe Tobey Maguire’s muscles were real. It was mentioned in behind the scene features regarding his preparation for the role.
As for Justin Chatwin, I have no problem thinking that those are his actual muscles. Though some early pictures of him in Durango does appear to be less ‘meaty’, but other pictures aren’t actually that far off from the new promo pics.
