I recall being worried by the underwhelming Dragonball they seemed to have just edited into one of the previous scans, but I think the Dragonball in Goku’s hand in this poster, however, looks pretty fantastic.

WTF, Hairspray? That was weird… But nice to have ya back.
Poster looks nice. The Dragonball still looks like energy to me rather than a large marble. I like the energy concept, so I’ll stick with it until the actual movie tells me different. Goku’s got his staff, but is it the powerpole or just a regular stick? And does that mean Nimbus will make an appearance?
Whatever, the pics get me more pumped for the movie. Keep ‘em coming.

Cool stuff man, yea I like this poster of chatwin as goku, I think the guy may actually be able to pull it off. Think of the earlier photos we saw, he shows that he can go from a geek sort of naive happy go lucky kid to bad ass motha fucka in the blink of an eye, and Im glad they show that in these pics cause thats what I think makes goku such an intersting character, that he can be a complete cluless dork one minute but then out of no where he turns into a super bad ass force to be recking with, and this picture shows that side. Loving it! so far so good

I still can’t get over how they completely butchered Master Roshi….
As for Goku, that’s probably the best picture of him yet…But that’s not saying much.
also, his clothes are all wrong(obviously) and his hair needs some bangs going on…And really, since when did Goku have sideburns!?lol None of the saiyans do.

I think one of the reasons they didn’t bother making him as accurate as they could have is for acting purposes. With sunglasses and a beard it would be harder to read the actor’s expressions and therefore any subtle acting would be pointless. Thus you couldn’t do any “shifty eye moments” etc without a close up.It works in the anime because it’s exaggerated, but the heavy beard and glasses especially would be a hindrance in live action.
With regards to being bald - you’d either have to shave everyday or wear one of those bald caps. They’re both time consuming and would be silly without a beard!

I’m probably the only one, but I think Chatwin’s hair is a bit too big in these posters. I’m going to be watching the film going “And WHERE exactly in the desert did he find all that Gatsby wax, the vain git?!” Big hair is fine in the anime, but I’d prefer the more “eternally messy” look.

I just wanted to point out, whenever we’ve seen Chow yun Fat as Roshi has been what seems to be in the middle of action scenes…i believe we WILL see him in shades at some point (perhaps when we first meet him) but yeh, for acting purposes as Lottie says, it’s pointless.

I went and watched the hulk movie yesterday because I was bored. It was soooo much better than I expected. So incredibly violent for a pg 13 movie. Throughout the movie all i kept thinking was, if they can get away with all this brutality and maintain their pg13 rating; i hope to god the dragonball movie is just as violent. Justin looks good, bulma’s got a huge pistol, roshi’s in roshi wear! Piccolo is the best kept secret in america. Okay they got all the general things right no need to worry about all the many little points. All thats left is the fun story-line and the epic battles.

No, the trailer list for the film didn’t have Dragonball on it. I work at a movie theater and I will know about a week before any movie comes out whether or not Dragonball will be on a film. I’ll let you guys know if I see anything. We get trailer lists (for trailers we have to put on the films) a week in advance, so I keep a look out.

I do not think the Ben Ramsey script is fake.
Trust me, thats what Fox said about the first posters yet they were not.
Also, it would be crazy for someone to spend so long writing just to get kicks.
With so much effort that makes it so well done.
Also when they Fox wrote to the website they only said “Things in the script will not be shown in the movie”.

No word, posters, or anything about Dragonball has come from FOX so the answer to your question is “no.” I will, however, let everyone know ANYTHING I do as soon as I know it.
I don’t think the script was fake either. That and why would the picture of Goku be fake? It’s the only one of it’s kind so how could it? Also, why is everyone so pissed about what he’s wearing? He does wear a Gi in the film, you know. Maybe the promotional pictures are only showing his SCHOOL OUTFIT! Don’t forget the leaked pictures showing his stunt-double wearing a pretty badass looking Gi!

I think the script was not a fake but I do think that 40-60% of it will not be in the film. They always change the script as the movie is being filmed. The script was good not great but good, it cought my interest! So give it a chance everyone(I feel like I am saying this all the time) I bet you that the movie has more of a story then a lot of action, they will save the action for the second one. The Dragonballs are probably floating to add more of a “mystical” look to it. I think it looks rather awesome… And also, I know that most people wouldn’t waste their time making a script for a gag, but there has to be someone out there who fits the “stereotypical comic nerd” description that would. I am going to say that right now, and I think that the whole idea of everyone knowing about a legend of “seven mystical dragonballs that helped to defeat the demon king piccolo and his Oozaru” is a dumb story plot for the beginning of the movie. That may just be me, though.
And I agree with Goku in that fake shit, just sitting around playing “Dragonball” for your eighteenth birthday would be boring. But Goku loves to fight and learn new techniques, that’s just his character.

This Comment is for the film makers to read.Well I know is to early to talk about this but when yall start filming the second movie yall better not change the story.Every thing that the Saiyan Saga story had better be in the movie.All the characters that were in the Saiyan Saga better be there and the Saiyans named Raddicks,Napa and Vegeta they better be there.I mean the story in the movie better be exactly as the Cartoon but more action better stunts and a little more details to entertained the fans.Oh and the scene when Yamcha,Piccolo,Gohan,Krillen and Tien are fighting Napa and Vegeta better be more action and better,I dont care if yall change that scene is better be action and fun to watch.And more specially When Goku fights Vegeta that scene better be the most entertaining fight and best movie fight ever seen in years.So hope yall read my comment and I post this for the film makers not for the fans or to people to read this.I think this is the only way I can get to the film makers to read this,if the director whants to make real good money you gotta read this.Oh and who ever is going to be the actor playing Vegeta better be good,he better be just like Vegeta on the Cartoon and Bill Goldberg better be Nappa.Since yall changed the story on the Dragonball movie and made fans feel bad, yall better not do the same on the second Sequel the Saiyans Saga.

what u people do not see, is that fox is not taking this film as series as the fans. be honest to your selfs, do u really think the cast that they have picked will deliver the stunning DB performance the u expect. most of u just want a dragon ball movie so bad that your willing to over look that they picked some white guy to play goku who has no marshal arts back ground (rather u know it or not this is a kung fu flic) and truly does not look the part. this movie going to have more or a crouching tiger hidden dragon feel rather then the DB action packed tone that u all crave p.s go and check out a movie called lion tiger gate that is the type of cast that should be in DB

I can’t believe there are people actually liking what they are seeing… the world has no hope after all… this won’t be dragonball z the movie, instead it will be RETARDball z the fuck up. I can’t believe they made the movie filled with dumb ass characters, I am a dragon ball fan. However after viewing the trailer
I went berserk , started trashing shit in my house breaking almost all my db dbz and db gt collection . With tears still running down my face I screamed out NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! not another STREET FIGHTER FUCK UP !!! A White guy as goku SIGHS… Dun get me wrong I’m white But that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen witness in my db years. tho I have seen a fat goku in a cosplay once ,but atleast he is more likely to pass as Goku .
