Thanks to craigdbfan for pionting this out. Stephen Chow mentions Dragonball in an article with Canmag.com.

“I won’t have a cameo in the film,” Chow said. “My contribution is mainly in the screenwriting department, giving them input and suggestions in the screenplay and other aspects.”

Dragonball Sequel Slated For An ‘09 Shoot?

Posted by JP | Uncategorized | Tuesday 25 March 2008 11:41 am

Movieland posted an interesting article that Adam over at dbthemovie.com translated:

Second part of Dragonball will be shot in the first quarter of 2009

One of my sources was able to talk to one of the contractors who work with the production of Dragonball in Durango, this person says that the production has assured him that all three films are set to film in Durango, and that they secured his job for the coming years as a supplier of production … He also commented that if things go well, “Dragonball 2″ could begin filmed at the end of the first quarter of 2009, that is, within a year.

Something that certainly is good news for fans and of course for the people of Durango, as this indicates that the trilogy will be shot in Durango and this makes sense, since it was revealed that some sets of Dragonball would stay even when filming was complete.

It also depends on how you go at the box office and the acceptance by having fans … But we hope that all goes well

Uh Oh!

Posted by JP | Cast, James Marsters | Monday 24 March 2008 3:52 pm

Patsy D brought to our attention some unfortunate news regarding James Marsters!

James Marsters, who played Spike on the show, refused to smile because, he said, he’d had his teeth bashed in on the set of Dragonball, the Chow Yun-Fat movie filming in Mexico. Marsters said he’d come directly from the airport to the Buffy reunion, and didn’t want to show us his pearly whites until he’d seen a dentist.

SOURCE

Ouch. . .

EDIT: I just want to add that while James may have indeed hurt his teeth during a stunt/scene he was obviously exaggerating when he made this comment as his teeth are not “bashed in” (though it may very well feel that way!).

Weaver?

Posted by JP | Cast | Sunday 23 March 2008 11:19 am

Thanks to chelo248 for pointing this out. Luis Arrieta’s Curriculum lists the actor as Weaver, not Teto.

According to the casting sides Weaver is:

Male, late teens - early 20s, high school junior, a plump man, nerd. regardless of race or nationality.

Luis Arrieta described his character as being the nerd. I guess they decided not to make him plump!
