Loading ...Dragonball Release Date Changed Yet Again!
According to The Hollywood Reporter Dragonball has been pushed back yet again. This time to September 18th, 2009.
20th Century Fox continues to play ping pong with the release date of the manga adaptation “Dragonball”. The film, which was originally slated for an August 15th 2008 release was recently moved to April of 2009. “We realize that April just didn’t work out for us.” says a Fox Spokesperson. “September looks like a better month and that’s what we’re going with.”
Justin Chatwin plays Goku in the film. James Marsters plays he villainous Piccolo. Chow Yun-Fat, Joon Park, and Ernie Hudson also star. Emmy Rossum plays Bulma while newcomer Luis Arrieta plays Weaver, her love interest.

I was go to ask if there would be a joke, at first I thought it was real, but that date doesn’t make much sense, because this is a perfect summer movie, very high buggit and good story not great. The movies I like.

I hope these date changes are for the better. I realize that this will be an effects heavy film, lets hope it is good as terms of acting and story. Also, does any one know if this is in fact a Dragonball movie, or a Dragonball Z movie? Are they just abbreviating the title…? Also if it does encompass Dragonball Z, how will 3 movies fill all the sagas from Vegeta to Buu, and every thing in between? Contact me…

steve bilodueax.. take it easy. they’re not filling 3 movies of dragonball z sagas. they’re starting the first movie with dragonball (a background on goku, going into the piccolo saga).
They’re planning sequels - which most likely will be the Vegeta saga and Freeza saga. I seriously doubt they’ll include cell and buu unless there’s more demand for more movies.

So you telling me that they are going to take the whole 2008 year to finished the movie. This movie only cost 100 million to make. TF 2 will have a bigger budget and they will probably start filming in June of ‘08and released it on June 26the of 2008. I really need a reason to why the pushed it back even further.
