He’s confident about it! Well of course he is, his name is on it, he wouldn’t say, “well guys, it’s going to really suck, don’t see it.”
The teaser will show us the graphic look, and thats all we need to see, we all know the story is going to be good, because there following Dragonball closely with nee perspective and insight, but if goku and the others look like complete idiots, then sadly, it will not work.

Jet Li and Jackie Chan just made a movie together and they both admitted that it wasn’t that good (even before it came out) so that proves there is more than one side to the argument. ANYWAYS!!! Its good to know that things are going well for the movie.

funnily that movie they just made together (jackie chan, jet lee) is the Forbidden kingdom which is based on the monkey king tale. so he uses the same staff that goku uses.

the teaser wont show you anything, it will simple “tease” the hell outta you making you want more, the whole purpose, the theatrical trailer it’s what you want… which pretty shows the main points on the movie, but only to a certain extent, my God Jp…for the past 3 months its been nothing havoc, by they way why u leave LAA?

Well, Marvel called the first preview of Iron Man a ‘teaser’ so the actual teaser for Dragonball might be pretty good!

I agree with Jeff. As a producer, you’d have to be really stupid to say your movie sucks and expect to keep getting jobs. Jet Li and Jackie Chan might say it because they’re so famous it wouldn’t make much of a difference anyway. Stephen Chow’s not that renowned. I haven’t heard of him until the DB movie was announced.

Oh and lets not forget the fact that you guys are prophets and can see into the future so you already know how the movie is going to turn out! Son Goku will say anything you just make people angry, I already figured it out, so the best is to ignore, he’s only human for Christ sake! it aint like his opinions really matter, who cares what he thinks, if he thinks the movie is gonna suck, oh well, so does a lot of people, but is that gonna stop the movie from being made?… no need to answer that one, I pretty sure after spending over $100 million dollars on a budget no 2 desperate idiots will even be consider a factor of valuing their opinions.

I have done all of the mathematical equations, and I have solemnly concluded that this movie is going to fail… inevitably. Obviously, all of the intellectualists know this already, any way. I just want to say $100 million does not guarantee a good movie. I’m not a hater of this film. I’m just realistic. Bryan Singer spent $200 million on Superman Returns. It was a disaster. Cost means nothing. Its about quality. Come August we will ALL findout if this film is worth its price tag.

To clarify, I never said it would suck. I did say a producer would never tell us it sucked, even if it did, because his name is on the movie.
Also, Iron Man teaser did show some movie, but the Batman Begins teaser showed just a Batman symbol. So I know what your talking about.

Ok. To whoever this is (probably some 11 year old) trying to ‘pretend’ they’re intelligent. For one, you’re only showing your own stupidity by making a judgment of something before it’s been presented/completed. Regardless of what it is, whether it be a movie, album, book, etc.
People like this need to learn a thing or two about themselves before they open their mouths. We really don’t care about your opinion, and honestly you don’t have a clue about the outcome of this movie.. unless you’re acting in it, producing, directing, or even being the water boy for Justin Chatwin for God’s sake. If you’re going to make such a ridiculous comment - please don’t make it because it’s fruitless, ineffective, futile, impotent - i think you get the idea.

anyways, hopefully this isn’t a cheap ass show (meaning story, fighting, etc) but seeing it has 100 million big ones and a damn good cast, I wouldn’t be surprised if they surprise the haters and gave seizures to the die hard DB/DBZ/DBGT fans. Can’t for the teaser and especially the trailer, but the movie itself will be a great gift.

Hey guys, don’t expect much from the teaser, remember that the teaser will be made shortly after the principle photography (filming) is done. the trailer will have no effecs shots because they wil be done over the next 5 months. However saying this dragonball secretly filmed some green screen shots back in november, so there may be some shots. The iron man teaser had one cgi shotwhich was him flying past a plane, thats cos none of the other cgi had even been done. so the trailer for dragonball will be a bare minimum of the action squences this doesn’t mean that the film won’t have any, all i’m saying is that you shouldn’t expect much from the teaser ok guys. be optamistic hav faith

Im happy to see that Stephan Chow is confident about “Dragonball”, but will he hurry with the teasor already. I can’t wait any longer!!!! I haven’t been this hyped since Star wars episode 1: The Phantom menace…. This movie is gonna freakin’ rock! I know it will!!!! I can’t wait to see Goku fly like Neo and I can’t wait to see Marsters as Piccolo. I hope they make him look good! Hurry up Stephan Chow!!!!

I want to see a good teaser/trailer just as bad as the next fan on this board. But you got to realize, if they showed us a teaser right now, it would probably be nothing of any interest. Just some fancy words flashing on screen and saying “DRAGONBALL - COMING SOON” at the end.
Let them add in the special effects and finishing touches to the film before they throw together a teaser. I want to see Goku, Piccolo, Master Roshi, etc. If they show us a teaser right now, it won’t show us any of that.
..And what I can’t believe, is no one has taken any more pictures with their phone cams and sent in. No one has taken at least a blurry picture of Piccolo in costume???
But I guess they are pretty hush hush about this movie, really secure about cameras/camera phones. If they’re being this air-tight on any REAL information leaking out into the public, then I’m guessing they’re going to promote this movie into a big deal until it is released.
But, on the other hand. Can’t they throw together a good teaser poster or something? If Lyus can put together that amazing poster of Goku, can’t the guys at 20th Century Fox do the same???

Soon in the coming weeks we’ll start seeing magazine articles with interviews. Then a teaser, maybe Cartoon Network will put DB or DBZ back on air, full length trailers, tv spots, toys, video games, ect.
Must have patience. The more you check up on it, the longer it’s going to seem before any of this happens.

You know what…personally I dont want to see too much before the movie comes out. Alot of times movies will be OVER publicized…you see everything in the trailers and when you go to the theater its like “this is it?”. Thats what happened to Men in Black (which i didnt think was all that good). Transformers didnt show too too much and it was a huge hit. FOX has bombed alot of movies yes but they have a track record of excellent CGI movies and such. I wouldnt really trust this movie with any other film company.

___________________________________Cartoon Network is already playing DBZ every Saturday on Toonami at like 10:00 or 10:30 ET I believe. They are currently in the Cell Saga (Goku’s going to fight him in the next episode).
I’m so glad they’re finally through all those stupid filler episodes like Hercule/Mr. Satan and his men fighting Cell and Goku and Gohan dealing with Tao Pai Pai.
BTW, DB plays almost everyday on the COLORS Channel (*the Funimation Network airs on that station pretty late at night. I’m not sure exactly what time though. It varys depending on where you live, I think), though for the past few years they’ve only been playing the first episode through the Red Ribbon Army intro episode. I hope that helps.

I keep seeing post all over saying things like “I hope this movie does well…” etc. etc. Even if it BOMBS and YOU enjoyed it, doesn’t that make it work it? There are a TON of movies out there that I enjoyed that suck balls in the public eye, but I don’t care. If you’re excited about this movie (as I am) don’t worry about if it ‘does well’ or not because who cares what critics or the public thinks right? I will enjoy this movie no matter what Rotten Tomatos or anyone else says

I didn’t know that. Is that at 10 in the morning? Cause I’m usually not up by then.. been drinking or going out the night before. And if that’s at 10 at night, then I’m not watching TV at that time on a Saturday. I had no idea it was on. They need to have it airing on weekdays in the afternoon or on Adult Swim, with the unedited versions or something.
I’m just saying, that would be a really good way to bring Dragon Ball back in the open again. By that time if it’s been airing for a while, when they start promoting the movie - I think that would help out a good bit.

I know a guy who works for Image Engine. He seems pretty persuaded that this movie will raise the bar on all fighting movies there has ever been. In his own words “this movie will be unlike anything anyone has ever seen” …Although I never really watched the cartoon I’m very much anticipating the movie.

No it’s not. And just because some kid on IMDB said so doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. For one, that movie is about to come out. Any trailers attached to that film are already done and ready to go. We’ll probably see a trailer on Iron Man or The Incredible Hulk, or any related movie that comes out before so. Doubtfully Doomsday OR Shutter. If so, it’s not like it won’t pop up on the internet. I’d rather watch it online for free that pay $7 at the movies.
Plus, it’s not like this website wouldn’t report something like that. We want legit information from a legitimate source.

It’s too early for an actual trailer at this point, just a teaser. Advertisement for a movie has to happen at the right time, and too much can be a bad thing. I think this movie can be quite successful since it will attract a lot of people who are unfamiliar with the series.

Look, Stephen Chow is not involved in the production of this movie and has never been, or else it won’t bomb like this.
Fox is just putting him on the staff list to cheat his fans into thinking this is one of his great works.
