MovieLand has some new information on some of the filming taking place in Durango.
The first location is of a farm of some sort that was redecorated for the shoot. The filming will take place for 22 days in this location and will be a place were Goku and Bulma search for the Dragonballs.
The second image is said to be the World Martial Arts Tournament. Filming will take place for 4 days in this location.
I’d also like to say that with filming starting back up soon, I, along with all the reader of this blog, would be more than grateful to anyone in the Durango area who may be able to get pictures or a set report. Of course you’d get full credit and all the glamour you deserve!
So feel free to email me with all your juicy reports (and that goes for anyone else outside of Durango who thinks they have something worth reporting).

Yay! Confirmation of the Tournament.
And a farm? Neat. If I recall, we saw several farms in the series. The best is when one of the saiyans (Raditz?) totally slaughtered a redneck farmer who threated him with his shotgun.

Are the earlier reports about the “no magical animals” policy correct? because otherwise I can think of another place that looks a bit like this: The village where Oolong was introduced.
Also, what source stated that Piccolo would not be green? *worries*

Tomorrow they begin shooting Dragonball!!!! How exciting!!!!!
Im glad to see them film Dragonball in Durango, Mexico…. Those pics prove Durango will stay true to the dragonball roots.

The scene you describe is from dragonball Z.. this movie is based on what happened in Dragonball, not “Z”
Lets indeed hope it turns out great so we will get to see a Z based sequal.

With “no magical animals” i hope they dosen´t mean shen long, too.
Because the Movie/Manga/Anime sounds DRAGON BALL and why?
Because after searching the 7 Balls the holy “magical” Dragon Shen Long come out!
A DB Movie without a magical Dragon how can speak, isn´t good.

Some people think, that the character description to Piccolo, that he is a humaniod thing, means that piccolo is a human and not green.
But humaniod means only that this alien looks a little bit a human, he has arms and legs an a normal face.
And this DISCRIPTION from Piccolo means only that he looks like a litte bit a human, not a roboter-alien oder light/energy-alien!!!
And Piccolo has long ears and is green, and his skin is other like a human skin, BUT his look is how a human.

Well, I’m of the belief that this film will end with hints of the Saiyan Saga, creating an opening for the next film. Something like Raditz showing up and killing a farmer, Vegeta and Nappa’s pod’s flying through space, or heroes in Capsule Corp get reports of strange UFOs entering the atmosphere.
Speaking of which, is Capsule Corp confirmed? I know we have Bulma and her dad, and the Dragon Radar…

Well, the DB series leaves no hint of a new saga, and i trust Wong and Chow will remain pretty close to the story, but the hint is definately NOT out of the question.
As for Mr. Briefs, does he even APPEAR before the Z series begins? I thought the Capsules themselves were the only indicator of Caps. Corp.’s existance at the time…
